PAPILLON — A Sense of Place

PAPILLON - A Sense of Place is a two video installation that explores the notion of place and the way in which we perceive and experience atmospheres.

Through the collection of partial images of landscapes, writings, sounds and materialised photographs, the work actively encourages dialogue with the viewer.

Being up close and face to face with the work enables a personal and timed interaction with it.

“I heard the sound of waves, recalled the scent of a long-forgotten evening. Yet all this was but a mere fragment of the sensations passing through me in those few hundredths of a second.”
